Campus Cleanup is a student-focused program that helps school organizations actively support the Don’t mess with Texas effort by encouraging them to keep their campuses and communities clean and litter-free. The Campus Cleanup program is available to any student or teacher in Texas interested in coordinating a cleanup event.
We encourage student groups to create an event that is fun and memorable. Ideas for events include group cleanups, competitions, scavenger hunts, and contests.
Research shows that Texans ages 16-34 are still the most likely to litter. Help change the way your peers think about litter by getting out there and doing something about it.
Schools are encouraged to schedule Campus Cleanup events on or off campus on April 8th, in conjunction with the Trash-Off. You may schedule a separate or second cleanup anytime throughout the year.
It’s easy! The Don’t mess with Texas Campus Cleanup Toolkit is a great resource to help you organize and carry out the event. It includes planning materials, promotional elements, and creative templates for easy event planning. Get started today:
- Download posters to build awareness and encourage event participation on your college or high school campus.
- Register your event online.
- After your event, fill out the online event reporting form and send any photos to email@example.com. Be sure to include your name, school, and event location with your photos submitted.
