How to Download

1. From dontmesswithtexas.org/get-stuff, download "DMWT_Litter Barrel Icon.zip" to your desktop.
2. Double click on the ZIP file to open. A folder called "DMWT Litter Barrel Icons" will appear.
   1. Note that there are two icons, one "full" litter barrel (that reflects files in your trash bin) and one "empty" litter barrel (that reflects a clean trash bin after your trash is emptied).

How to Change Your Computer's Trash Bin Icon

1. Right click on Desktop.
2. Select the Properties or Personalize option.
3. Click on the desktop tab at the top of the Display Properties window.
4. Click the Customize Desktop button.
5. In the Desktop Icons window, scroll to the recycle bin icon and click on the empty recycle bin icon.
6. When the icon is highlighted, press the Change Icon button.
7. In the Change Icon window, press the Browse button.
8. Navigate to the "DMWT Litter Barrel Icons" folder on your desktop.
9. Select the "DMWT_RecycleBin_empty.ico" file in the folder. Click OK.
10. Click the Apply button on the Display Properties window.

Repeat this process to change the recycle bin (full) icon.

To switch the Litter Barrel icon back to the default recycle bin icon, repeat steps 1-6. After step 6, when the Change Icon window is open, scroll through the icons in the window that automatically opens to find the original recycle bin icon.
