2008 Rock The Bag Tour
The Don’t Mess with Texas Rock the Bag outreach tour is designed to get Texans motivated to use a litterbag in their vehicles. The tour will make 28-stops statewide in 16 different cities. Texans can play litter trivia games, watch Don’t Mess with Texas TV spots, receive free limited-edition litterbags — which have never before been released to the public — and can win prizes like backstage access and Southwest Airlines tickets.
At these events look for the giant inflatable Rock the Bag mascot that will lead the way to the Don’t Mess with Texas area. At the set-up see new elements of the campaign and add Don’t Mess with Texas to your MySpace and Facebook.
New litterbags will be on display and available for free. Noted fashion and home decor designer Todd Oldham, a native Texan, lent his time and talent to design one of the featured litterbags. A second new design speaks to a more traditional Texas and includes a large cowboy boot, which says “Give Litter the Boot.” Another reads “Litter is for Cats” and has a smiling dog, while the last is more edgy, with rows and rows of skulls all topped by small pink bows.
