Middle School

Help your middle school students encourage their community to live litter-free. Here, you’ll find a lesson plan for middle school students that teaches them how to persuade and encourage adults in power to help keep their school campus clean.

LESSON PLAN / DOWNLOADS

Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will have brainstormed ideas for combating litter on campus, selected the best idea and completed a multi paragraph, persuasive letter to a key figure at their school (i.e., the principal, parent organization or janitor) with their proposal. It is suggested that these lessons be taught during ELA or writing class.
